Students will be assigned a grade for Engl 110 based on their completion of their assignments, participation, and attendance by weight.
In addition to smaller assignments that will be handed out throughout the course of the semester, there will be 3 major assignments given with the goals of reinforcing lessons, meeting learning outcomes, and increasing writing, analytical, and rhetorical skills. These will be done in a series of drafts with scaffolding assignments in order to both lead up to the assignments and provide students opportunities for revision.
** All major writing assignments will require draft work and a written self reflection component, which we will discuss in class
